PREMIER'S READING CHALLENGE
Yes! It's that time of the year again! The Premier's Reading Challenge has begun and concludes  21st August. I have a copy of your login username and passwords so if you are not sure, come see me. Start logging your reading now!!! https://online.det.nsw.edu.au/prc/home.html

Enjoy reading!!! :-)

BOOK CLUB FOR 2015
This year it's even easier to purchase through Book Club! Simply go to http://www.scholastic.com.au/schools/bookclub/
All payments and orders are made through the website and the "books" are delivered to the school for your child to bring home like normal. Tomorrow I will send home a hard copy of the Book Club Ordering Process for you to keep, outlining the steps necessary to follow in order to place an order. Orders for the current Book Club brochure are to be placed by Wednesday, 18th March.

WELCOME TO TERM 1, 5B!!!

COVERING BOOKS
The 3 books we have (English/Religion, Maths, General Book) will be sent home on weekends.  If you have time, covering would be greatly appreciated ….. if not, no problem.  I totally understand how busy life is this time of year.  Your children can bring them home on a weekend that suits you.  Books WILL NEED TO BE COVERED IN CLEAR CONTACT to ensure their book cover can be seen.

Thank you so much for you time and help in this matter.

WHAT'S COMING UP
We have a very busy week coming up… looking after our brand new little buddies in Kindergarten, colouring in with them, cutting, pasting, opening little lunches and wiping away tears, whilst also trying to settle into our own new part of the school.  Lots of fun ahead!

Would this suit you????
Next Monday's Pupil Free Day is MAI testing day. I now have two spare spots for assessing 2 extra children on this day. If your child did not come for an interview on Tuesday 27th January or is not already booked in to see me this Monday, 9th February, I now have 11am and 11.40am available! First in best dressed!!! Post a comment below if you're keen to take one of these time slots.

    1. Cam, there's no need to worry about Naplan. You will be fine. You are a very clever young man with creative and interesting ideas. I do not want you to be worried about Naplan.
In terms of Homework books, we won't be using one. You can do all of your tasks on your iPad or on another other materials that suit to the task you're doing. So, if you want to make a Poster, Powerpoint, 3D model, magazine, Note....you're free to do so. We can have a chat about it tomorrow if you're still unsure about what to do :)
