Important Dates & Things to Remember

A3 Days

Just a reminder that each Tuesday we will be practising and preparing for our A3 component of Creative Arts and need to wear our Sports Uniforms each Tuesday This means that sports uniforms are required each Tuesday as well as each Sport day; which is Thursdays during Term 1).

Change to PE for Week 9

This week (Week 9) our Sport/PE time will be Wednesday morning so be sure to wear your sports uniform Wednesday, rather than Thursday just for this week.

MARCH

Tuesday 10th - Catholic Schools Week Mass (9.15am) and Open Classrooms (10.15am - 10.45am)
Tuesday 17th - Change of date - Cross Country. Remember to wear your Sports Uniform this day too. 

Wednesday 18th - Book Club Orders to be ordered online by this date.

Things students need... (message for Wednesday, 11th February)
Hi Parents,
In order for children to access a few vital apps for use in the classroom, the children will need access to their Apple usernames and passwords. The main reason for this request is so that the app, 'Explain Everything,' may be downloaded to the children's iPads (with no cost to parents). Our IT assistant at school, Adam, will be downloading this app to all students' iPads tomorrow. One feature of this app is that it allows presentations to be displayed from children's iPads via our classroom data projector.

Another great (free) app we ask you to download is 'gmail' so that children can readily access their emails for use throughout the day (they will be required to email me regularly with completed work tasks for me to check.) You can download this app easily at home yourselves.

Each day we are exploring something new with our iPads. Little by little we are becoming more proficient with our iPads, our Blogs and our apps. Soon we'll all be experts! :) 

FEBRUARY

Monday February 9th 2015 - Staff Development Day - MAI testing at school.
Tuesday February 17th 2015 - Opening School Mass - everyone is welcome; 9.15am

Next Monday's Pupil Free Day is MAI testing day. I now have two spare spots for assessing 2 extra children on this day. If your child did not come for an interview on Tuesday 27th January or is not already booked in to see me this Monday, 9th February, I now have 11am and 11.40am available! First in best dressed!!! Monday February 16th 2015 - Parent Information Night for Year 5 and 6.  Year 5 from 6.00-7.00, Year 6 from 7.00-8.00.

General Reminders

Sport & PE Day is Thursday for Term 1 

(wear sports uniforms Thursdays)

Library borrowing is weekly on Fridays at 10.45am.

Remember a bag for your library books. 
If you're in the middle of a great book, remember you can hold on to it until you're finished reading it. Whilst borrowing time is weekly, you may be "sinking your teeth" into a good book so keep it until you're finished with it.
